About the Golisano College

the new GCCIS building

Welcome to the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. The newest and largest college of RIT, the Golisano College includes the departments of Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Networking, Security, and Systems Administration as well as the Laboratory for Applied Computing. This mixture of applied computing disciplines is unique and allows the college to offer a strong, diverse series of programs centered around computing, from the infrastructure designer's to the end user's point of view.

We invite you to explore the site and get better acquainted with our programs, faculty and facilities. Whether you are a prospective student, an alum, a corporate visitor or a casual browser we hope you will find the information presented here clear, complete and accessible.

We completed construction on a new 125,000 sq. ft. building in 2002 which is entirely devoted to programs of the College. The Laboratory for Applied Computing occupies a 9,000 sq. ft. building which is devoted to interdisciplinary industry-sponsored research.
