Medical Informatics Master Degree
An advisory board consisting of RIT faculty and members of the medical community are designing a Masters Degree program, which should be available in about a year. Plans also include the creation of combined BS/MS programs with Computer Science and Information Technology. By extending their studies by one year, students can receive both a BS and an MS degree in Medical Informatics and Computer Science or Information Technology. These will be accelerated programs open to students with high academic standing.

The BS degree in Medical Informatics can be obtained in four years. With one additional year (four quarters) of study students can optionally earn an MS degree in computer science. Students must declare their intention to pursue the MS degree by theirthird year of undergraduate study. Some assistantships and scholarships for graduate study are available to deserving students.
