Our Mission
In 1992, RIT became the first university in North America to offer a complete degree program in information technology. Today, the Information Technology Department continues to keep pace with the continuously changing world of computer and Internet-based technologies, providing an innovative mix of modern programs and courses.
Our Facilities
With over 400 computers for student use in 13 teaching laboratories, the IT Department uses innovative active-learning teaching methods in its programming, Web, interactive media, database, HCI, and game development classes.
